Ottawa Ice Cats win 2011-2012 NCWHL Playoffs "Day of Finals" at Tom Brown arena in Ottawa.

Behind goals from Vicky Ozimkowski, Laura Clarke and Ashley Charlebois the Ice Cats beat a strong Ottawa Roadrunners team 3 - 2 to capture hard fought victory.

The Roadrunners opened the scoring midway through the first and lead until Vicky Ozimkowski scored with 3 second remaining in the first to tie it up. The Ice Cats took the lead in the second when Laura Clarke snapped home a wrist shot to the top shelf then Ashley Charlebois put in an insurance goal that was needed as the Roadrunners scored and had a mad scramble in the Ice Cats end as the period expired.

The Ice Cats begin their quest for provincial gold April 13th at the Cawthra Arena in Mississauga at 5pm.

The Ottawa Ice Cats Golf Tournament 2011 will be taking place June 12th, 2011 at Manderley on the Green, 5920 Prince of Wales Dr. North Gower, ON.

Events will include 18 holes of golf plus buffet dinner, raffle, door prizes, putting contest, closest to the pin and longest drive.
